Corey Fujimoto rips it up on the Super Mario Theme

In the mid 80’s you would have found me listening to this song for hours as I searched for mushrooms and coins. To put up with a song in 8 bit recording over and over for that long requires a great composition. Koji Kondo penned many of Nintendo’s first games, and he said this one took the longest. With some kind of robotic latin rythym and a super catchy melody it just makes you smile. The acoustic tones of a uke allow us to appreciate the song from the more organic side of it.

Corey has a Pono tenor cedar/mahogany. They Pono was almost too loud for my mic. They are really punchy!!  Contact us at the store for more info on that. Enjoy!
